COPY CONFIDENCE

Tailored training that brings out the best in every writer.

A continuous process

Improving as a writer is a continuous process, whether we’re starting out or have decades of wordering under our fingertips.

This two-part programme combines theory and practice to imbue copywriters with more confidence in their abilities. It helps them assemble their own utility belt of easy-to-use tools for writing words that work harder. Whatever the brief, budget or deadline.

And unlike other writing programmes, it’s flexible, scalable, and actively responds to the needs of participants during the course.

TL;DR

Who is Copy Confidence for?

In-house copywriters and ‘general-purpose’ creatives with multiple roles. Copywriters who have to adapt to different brands and channels.

What makes Copy Confidence different?

It’s live, interactive, and each one is tailored to participants’ specific needs. You can share your writing and work with peers in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

How long does Copy Confidence last?

For groups of 2-4, it’s two half-day sessions of about four hours each, plus some prep and homework. For groups of 7 or more, the sessions may be slightly longer.

Is Copy Confidence relevant in this age of AI?

For organisations wanting their words to make a difference, AI still can’t beat human writers. The course helps human writers turn AI to their advantage, making them better, faster and differenter.

COURSE CONTENT

Each Copy Confidence course is tailored to the needs of the participants, so this is what a typical two half-day programme might include:

Part 1

Setting objectives – what you want from the programme.

Talking about writing – sharing writing you admire and putting your own work up for discussion.

Identifying and understanding specific strengths, gaps and areas for improvement.

Introduction to tools for approaching, structuring, writing and editing copy.

Part 2

Applying the new tools to a well-known piece of writing.

Applying the new tools to the last thing you wrote.

Rapid writing and editing using the new tools.

Summary, feedback and actions.

OUTCOMES

By the end of the programme, you will a better understanding of how to approach your writing with positivity, consistency, and a critical eye.

You will have the tools to help you complete high-quality copy for every task.

And you will be able to help other writers improve their work, as they help you improve yours.

Definitely feel like I’ve learnt quite a bit that I didn’t know anything about and I’m excited to put it into practice for both planning writing and reviewing writing.
